Raeye Children Aid (RCA)
Our History
Founded in 2016 by Tsige Tessema, a visionary advocate for children’s rights, RCA emerged as a response to the significant lack of resources for children with disabilities in Ethiopia. What began as a small initiative to distribute school supplies quickly evolved into a global effort to transform lives through education, training, and technology.
Since its inception in 2016, Raeye Children Aid (RCA) has been steadfast in its commitment to improving the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Based in both Ethiopia and the United States, RCA bridges geographic and societal divides to provide innovative solutions for underserved communities.

Our work focuses on:
- Access to Quality Education: Ensuring that children can learn in supportive, inclusive environments.
- Vocational Training: Empowering children with life skills for independence and employment.
- Therapeutic Programs: Offering specialized care to enhance developmental progress.
- Technology-Based Learning Solutions: Through the Raeye Technology Program, RCA equips children with STEM skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
By fostering inclusion and innovation, RCA empowers children to achieve independence and become contributing members of society.
